Onward to T-town!

Monday morning, this is how Mama found me! I had gathered all of my Loveys and Maudie's blanket in a pile and was snuggling with all of them. I have so many that I do not want to leave any out so I just included them all! I am so happy to see Mama and Dada in the mornings. See the smile? How could you miss it?
Then Mama dropped me off at school. I was running a little late so I went straight to the table for breakfast. I ate pancakes that morning! These are all of my friends that are in my class. Thomas, Lexie, Adam, Alexandra and me. Owen and Charlie are not in the picture.
Friday, Pops came in town with Rob so that Robert could pick him up and take him home. I had fun watching Rob play. After they left it was time to go to Tuscaloosa to stay at Nana and Pops house. Tantie Erin had a shower and a cocktail party for her upcoming wedding.
Saturday morning, I enjoyed copying my sister at the window. It was raining so she could not go outside and play in her favorite backyard. We had fun looking out together though.
I also found out that there is life outside the den. I ventured into the kitchen and had fun with the handles on the cabinets. I felt so independent but would not go to far out of eye site. Here, I was caught in the act! That afternoon, we when visiting. We went to Miss Peggy's. There, we saw Miss Lee, Mr Mark, and Miss Rachel. Miss Rachel was in town from Colorado. I had fun visiting with everyone! Then I went to Wings to see Tantie, Miss Katie, and Miss Sara. I had fun chewing on Miss Katie's bracelet and Miss Sara gave me a lemon! I was not so sure about that!
Saturday night, Pops gave me my very own cell phone! I absolutely love it! I would listen to it, chew on it and then show it to everyone a laugh! Thank you Pops!
Since I skipped my bath Saturday night, Nana gave me my bath on Sunday morning. I love taking baths. Nana thought I was cute in the big towel. She has really fun bath toys for me to play with!
This is Dada and me after my bath but before I got dressed! I love being naked! I think it is so funny! I have the best Dada in the world!
When we got home, I played on the floor with my sister and tried to share my stars with her. We played until it was time to go to lunch with Mimi and Grandpa for Grandpa's Birthday.
This is a picture of me giving him his birthday present...a hug from me!
We went to the new Italian place in Crestline. There I ate some of Mama's pizza...Yum!
I sat in my high chair for a bit but Mimi likes to give me squeezes so I also sat in her lap. She packed my very own backpack full of toys for me to play with at the restaurant.

"Sister" Daze

Friday, I spent the night with My Mimi and Grandpa so that Dada and Mama could have date night. They always send lots of cute pictures of me that I can add to my blog. In this picture they said that I am cute and I made a look like "Who...Me?" This is when I was put in time out! Just kidding but Mama and Dada thought it was funny because it looks like that is what I am doing! Ha! I fooled them...didn't I?
My Aunt Maggie is getting more used to me and I think that I may actually become one of her best friends. Of course, Mimi and Grandpa are always careful when she comes around.
Saturday, Mimi took me home and Mama, Dada, Sister and I went to Doggie Daze in Crestline. We had so much fun shopping and seeing all of the other "sisters" around. I guess I am not the only one that has a sister. There are so many different colors and shapes. They made me giggle! Mama was very impressed with the children there because they were very well mannered around dogs!
Sunday, we got up and went to church! I wore a dress that Mr Warren and Miss Brandi gave me. Mr Warren is my God Father. That means that I am extra special to him and him to me. I looked so cute! Thank you Mr Warren and Miss Brandi!
After church, Mama, Dada, and me ate at Grey House Grill. That is one of our favorite restaurants. I ate cheese, bread, and potatoes. I love to eat real food. It makes me feel like a big girl!

Miss Me?

Sorry I did not write this past week but things have been kind of hectic around here. As you can see, I was just fine on Wednesday night. I had fun playing in the laundry basket with Mama and Dada. I felt like I was in a fort. That night, I even held my bottle all by myself (actually Mama Helped me but as you can see I am clearly doing it alone in the picture.) Mama could not believe how much I am doing! The next morning when Mama came in my room, this is what I looked like! She was really worried about my little eyes so she called Dr Stacey to get an appointment. I had another ear infection and she said that it caused my tear ducts to block again and that is why my eyes look so bad! The good news was that I got to stay home with Dada Thursday and Friday and got to take the yummy pink medicine! Mama left for the weekend trip with Tantie and Aunt Weldon. Dada always takes such good care of me that she never worries! Friday night, I spent the night with Mimi and Grandpa. I enjoyed visiting with Mimi's friends at New Beacon Hospice that day and playing with my new Lion. That night I enjoyed watching my Aunt Maggie (she is a Jack Russell) play in the back yard. They even took me shopping at Mt Laurel and I helped pick out some cute outfits! I have such great style.
Monday, Mama took me to school and they quickly called her and told her that she needed to come get me. Hand, Foot and Mouth was traveling around my class and it looked like I acquired it! She took me to the doctor and sure enough...I was sick again. That day, Mimi stayed at home with me. Tuesday, Pops came up and stayed with me. Wednesday, Mama stayed with me. Thursday, I went to work with Dada and his work friend, Stacey, took care of me. Friday, I was able to go back to school. What a busy week!
When Mama returned from her trip, she decided that it was time for me to try a sippy cup for the first time. Since I can hold my bottle she thought that it would be a good idea to at least try. I feel so independent with my own cup! I am becoming a big girl. I drank apple juice and actually liked it this time.
My favorite thing to do now is read books. I have even found that they serve two purposes...knowledge and teething toy! Mama is so proud of my attention span. I can listen to an entire book and love every minute!
When Mama was on her trip, Dada took me shopping a bought this adorable outfit for me. I wore it especially for him. Gretchen really liked it too and kept kissing my feet all day. I love my sister!
Friday night, Dada went out of town for a guys weekend and Nana and Pops came in town to visit me. Nana was jealous that Pops got to spend all day Tuesday with me so she wanted some time! Mama fixed her favorite meal, Roast, Rice, Gravy, and Lima Beans. It smelled so good but I did not get to have any...too young!
Saturday morning, I had fun peeping around the corner at Mama and Nana while Pops held me. I am so cute! Sunday, Mama put me in another outfit that Dada bought so that I would look cute when he got home from the trip to Mr Bradley's hunting camp. I am obsessed with playing with toys that are not really toys and the air vent. I like to bang my blocks on it. My fun new thing is to point to things. Everyone thinks that my little pointer finger is the cutest thing they have ever seen!
Mama and Dada have to keep a close eye on me because I also am obsessed with the side tables. I want everything on them. If they are not careful, I will turn over drinks, put the camera in my mouth, and pull tissues from the box. I do love the side tables.

Weekend with our family!

This weekend was the first weekend that we were able to spend the entire weekend in Birmingham, without anything to do, in 2 months. It was very relaxing and I will tell you all about it! Friday, was Mama/Anne Harman day all day long! We had so much fun and it was a day that I will always remember (or at least will enjoy reading about later!) We started off the day visiting the people that she works with. Miss Holly, Miss Becky, Miss Jill, Miss Anne, Miss Joan, and Miss Jessica just think that I am so cute! They played with me and I felt like such a big girl being Mama's helper! I even typed an I love you message on the computer all by myself! See, this is what I typed..."G cxx cvc v cvchv v cv chh fgt erre4 e54v c453evc 34c f3fdtd4 vkk bvbnjcfyugjk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk" Miss Jill had cookies and she shared one with Mama and me. I know I love chocolate chip cookie now! Then I went to New Beacon Hospice to visit Mimi. She was out of the office so I called her on the phone and told her that I had surprised her with a visit. She promptly turned around and came straight back. When she arrived at her office, she found me sitting at her desk writing with a pen (actually, I was chewing on it but we can pretend.) She had toys for me to play with...so prepared! Everyone there was so nice to me. They kept coming by to see me and it made me feel very special. I think that they might hire me to be the assistant director of bereavement since I make everyone smile! The next morning when Mama and Dada came in to wake me this is what they saw! Just my two big bright brown eyes popping over the side of the crib. Thank goodness they lowered the crib! I am a big climber! I am growing up so fast! That afternoon, I took all of the toys out of my toy basket and what did I find?!?!? Another toy! I love playing with the big blue basket! I was so proud of myself for being creative. I thought I was so funny! Again, I do not know why my parents buy me toys when I like playing with everyday things!

Next weekend, Mama is going to Tantie Erin's Bachelorette party and so this weekend was full of preparation. I wanted to help so I chewed on the ribbon while she wrapped the weekend favors. I am such a good helper!

I used shampoo for the first time and Mama thought it would be funny to put my hair in a Mohawk! I love bath time!

This weekend, I also learned that I can pick out my own toys from the basket instead of my parents handing them to me. I especially enjoy choosing books from them to read to me!

Then it was bedtime and since it was Saturday night, I decided that I wanted to stay up for a while with Mama and Dada. Dada let me look outside the window at the rain and Mama let me touch the rain. I was a little confused to see the water falling from the sky. They let me stay up until 8:00 and then I went to bed with no problems. I just wanted a little extra time with them!Sunday, we got up and went to church. I looked so pretty in the Kelly Kids dress that Nana and Pops bought for me! Mama and Dada think that it may be time for me to go to the nursery during Church now. I was good compared to to her children but was still a little distracting because I was making happy baby noises. Everyone around me thought it was cute though! I think that I will like the church nursery so that I can play with all of the other children! I like to make new friends.

After church, we went to The Village Tavern at the Summit! Dada likes to support his company! There, I ate real squash for the first time! I loved every bite but Mama did find some in my lap that I was trying to save for later. I really like going to restaurants so that I can sit at the big girl table and eat with Mama and Dada.
My sister, Gretchen was feeling left out since I have a blog so Mama added her to mine. This is her snuggling on the couch! She loves to snuggle! She is a great sister!

Surprise!

This weekend was such a busy weekend! Friday, Pops came in town and Mama and Dada put him to work! They were getting ready for uncle Robert's surprise party! They cleaned the house, worked outside in the yard, and went grocery shopping. I went to school for the day so that they could get everything together. Mama and Pops picked me up early though. He really liked seeing were I learn everyday and I was happy to show off for him. He also got to see me friend, Lily. He thought that she was so cute!
Saturday, Aunt Betsy, Uncle Robert and Rob came over and we ate at Zoes! I got to sit in the big girl chair again. Then Nana got in town from the beach. She brought lots of surprises for Rob and me. She loves to spoil us rotten!
When we got home everyone was anxiously anticipating the Surprise Party. Uncle Robert even called one of his friends to come over and eat dinner (he did not know that he was coming over already.) Then about 5:30, people started showing up. Deb, B.T., Emily, Greg, William, Charlie, Griffin, Pam, Little G, Katherine, Chason, Kim, Sara Chase, Hinton, Tara, Mark and Joe. Uncle Robert was SHOCKED! We had a great time! I got to play with the big kids and I loved watching them play! I was glad that so many people got to meet me!
Before the party, Miss Heather and Georgia Jayne came over. We took lots of photos and had lots of fun! I could not keep from petting her and grabbing her cheeks. I am glad that we are best friends! Mama and Miss Heather think that it is cute that we are friends since birth. They think that we will be Maid of Honor in each other's weddings! We will certainly have a lot of great pictures! Sunday, Mama cooked breakfast for everyone who did not have to get back to LaGrange early. Everyone else stayed until after lunch! I was glad that I got to spend more time with everyone. I miss not seeing them a lot! Then Mama and Dada played with me for the rest of the day! Mama tried to get me to say Mama but every time that she would say Mama, I would say Dada! Dada loved every minute of it!

Barricade...Shucks!

I can''t believe it's been 10 years!

I have heard that so many time this weekend! It was mama's high scool reunion so it was a busy weekend! Last week, we found out whether my new cousin will be a boy or a girl but I can't say here because some people still do not know! I am very excited to know though!
I do not know why my parents spend money on toys when I just LOVE bottles and keys!
Thursday, Nana and Pops came in town to help Mama and Dada with everything that they needed to do on Friday. Dada took off of work and so I had lots of people to love me! The carpets were cleaned, the house was sprayed for bugs, the new couches were delivered, the sod was delivered, and the tree was cut down. At the end of the day, Aunt Weldon came over and picked up mama and we all went to Tuscaloosa. Nana said that I cried a lot on the way down there. I sometimes do that in the car.
Then Tantie Erin came over! We had lots of fun and I showed off for her all of my talents. I am very mobile now so she got to see me scooting everywhere. I like it when I get to see her because she makes me feel very special! I am her godchild, you know! It was also the Aniversary of when Mama and Dada met! I am glad they met! :-)
On Sunday morning as I was scooting around, I some how got myself in the prdicament below! How in the world. Dada took my picture because I am such a silly girl! This was such a fun weekend!

Lions and tigers and...Giraffs?

This was a super fun week! Last Week I stayed with Nana and Pops until Wednesday night! Then they brought me back to Birmingham. They took such good care of me while I was sick and gave me lots of TLC. I think that is why I feel better. When I got home, I was so happy to see Mom and Dada! Mom said that I was really full of myself...whatever that means! I was pulling up on the outside of my exersaucer and I thought that it was just the funniest thing in the world. When I returned to school on Thursday, my teachers and friends were so happy to see me. I love going to school!

Friday, Independence Day, I went to spend the day and night with Mimi and Grandpa. To show my independence, I pulled up on the side of the crib by myself for the first time. When I told Mom and Dada about what I had done for ID4, they explained that ID4 is when we are supposed to celebrate freedom. I guess that I am very lucky to live where I live. When Mimi called dad to tell him, Mom and Miss Amanda quickly lowered my bed one level. When we went to Jim N' Nicks to pick up some ribs, we ran into a woman who's name was close to mine. Her name was Anna Harman...imagine that!
While I was playing at Mimi and Grandpa's, Mom, Dada and Miss Amanda cleaned the house and worked in the yard. It looks like a new house! Miss Amanda came in for a visit and was put to work. Thank you Miss Amanda! Mom got a little sad when she cleaned out my room because she put up a lot of my baby toys and and clothes that I have grown out of. She says that I am growing up too fast! I say that I can't wait to learn more everyday.

Sunday, I went to eat at Brio with Mom and Dada. This was the first time that I sat in a high chair at a resturant and I loved it. I ate saltine crackers, gerber stars and even some sourdough bread! When we arrived, they asked if I needed a childrens menu...he he! I think that they thought I was older that I am! I still do not have any teeth...I can't eat from a childrens menu!
After lunch, we went to The Birmingham Zoo! I saw the snakes, lions, tigers, kangaroos, monkeys, birds, alligators, giraffs, and lizards. There were no bears...hints the name! I think that I may be a little young for the zoo but Mom really liked it. I was more interested in sitting up like a big girl in my big girl stroller!
This has been the first week where I have not missed any school in a long time! It has been an adjustment not being surrounded by my parents and grandparents but the people at school said that I have been great this week. See Mom and Dad, nothing to worry about!

Today, Mom took me to school and I wore a dress that Ms Thagard brought back from Madagascar just for me. I feel so special wearing something that traveled halfway across the world! I look so pretty in sunflower yellow. I am becoming a girl of the world!
Last night, my sister was barking really loud so Dad went to check on her. When he stepped outside there was a copperhead snake on the back deck! It was really scary but at least nobody got hurt! I am very proud to have such a brave sister that protects us so well! Thank you Gretchen!
