It's Christmas Time!

It's Christmas time again and you know how I know? Owen the Elf came to visit my house! I named him Owen because my best friend is Owen. It is also my Papa's name! Owen has done so many crazy things this season! He started off in the pantry holding my breakfast and I knew that we were going to be great friends! I am going to tell you stories of Owen throughout the blog. Holiday's are a great time to spend with family so I went to Mimi's office and there, they had Christmas Decorations for all of their patients. What a way to lift someones spirits! I was wearing my hair in pig tails that day. As for Owen, he brought my key board in my room and when I found him in the morning, he was sitting on top of it. I told Mama that I heard him playing in the middle of the night and that he woke me up! I really did!
Then it was time for my yearly decoration of my very own Christmas Tree at Mimi and Grandpa's and I did a fabulous job as usual. As for Owen, he snuck into my room, crawled on my bed and stole my lovey! When I woke up, he was up on my dresser and was wrapped up in it. I told Mama that I felt him crawling on me that night but that I didn't open my eyes so he wouldn't know I was awake!

I was so proud of my tree that I decorated all by myself! So was the kitty on my shirt! I love Christmas because everything is so pretty and Santa is keeping a close eye on how sweet I am all of the time! As for Owen, one night he snuck into George's room with our toothbrushes and toothpaste and a cup of water! I told Owen that we shouldn't share toothbrushes! I was a little jealous that he was in George's room.

That weekend, Miss Alice gave us tickets to the Civinette pancake breakfast! It was so much fun! There were lots of stations that we could go to and we were so glad to go. It was a lot colder that we thought it was going to be so Nana had to go back and get our coats. I was not happy about covering up my new outfit! Mama was Vice President of Civinettes a long time ago. As for Owen, one night he fixed himself a bowl of cereal and brought it up to my room. I told him that we weren't supposed to take food to our bedrooms!!

Santa was even there! I sat in his lap and told him that I wanted an orange recorder. That is the only things that I have asked for this year. George would not get near him. I think that he was traumatized by the Brookwood Santa experience. That picture is hysterical! As for Owen, he was there too in the top of the tent! I wonder how he came all the way from Birmingham!

After the pancake breakfast, George and I went back to the house and played with garbage sacks! I know that they are not the safest toy but they were watching us closely and it was so much fun! My parents have always said that they don't understand why they even buy us toys when we would rather play with the homemade ones! As for Owen, one night he snuck up on my dresser and put on my jewelry! He looked so dapper!

The next week, we had our Christmas party for ballet and all of our parents got to come watch what we have been doing all year. You can see my friends from left to right, Lucy, Hunter, Lily, me and Lexi! They are my besties! One night Owen put on my tap shoes and I told Mama that I heard him practicing in my room! He was so loud! I am not making it up!

We did dances to When you wish upon a star, Ghostbusters, Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh. It was really adorable and everyone was really impressed that we were able to follow our teachers so well. One night Owen brought a bunch of books into my room and made a huge pile on my chest of drawers. His favorite is Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day just like me!

Miss Yo Yo came and watched us too! She was so proud of us. I was jealous because hunter and Lexi snagged a prime spot in her lap. She loves all of us girls and we love her and her son, Jay.

After a little break, it was time to do a little tap for everyone. I know how to tap on my toes and up back step on a bug. My shoes hurt my feet though so I do not like to wear them for long.

Afterwards, we celebrated with an early Christmas Party with Capri Suns, chips and Cupcakes. I sat next to Lily and Lexi. I really wanted another cupcake and so did Lucy but Mama said that it would make our tummy hurt. What do Mama's know anyway!?

Then it was time for Mama's graduation and we were all so very proud of her. All of that hard work and sacrifice all paid off. George and I had to miss it because it was the same night as our Christmas program. Omega is there too and there is no hiding it anymore!

She is so glad to have that part of her life over with but is so thankful for all of the moral support she received during such a stressful time! No more school for a long time!

Christmas parties were the next day and were so much fun, as usual. All of my friends were there and we all sat at the same long table. I sat at the end. The food was great and the fun was even better.

I love to smile for the camera these days which makes for some great pictures. Looking at the lens is something that I am having to practice on because I always look to the side. Practice makes perfect though!
George on the other hand does not much care for the camera! He did love his party though. He is not much of a sweet eater but he loved the chips and the juice. You know, he is drinking from a big boy cup now and feels so big. He has just gotten a haircut and Papa loved the military look!

Price, George's best red-headed friend, loved the sweets though! He tore into some ice cream and loved every bite! George and "Pwice" love each other so much!

One thing you will find out about George is that he is a really slow eater. He likes to take his time like Mama. That is another one of his best friends, Weller. George says his Rs like ehs. So Weller is actually Welleh to George!

At the end of the party day, Owen and I played on the carpet and ran off a bunch of the sugar. He has been my best friend for as long as I can remember! I had such a great time during the getting ready for Christmas festivities that I can't even imagine what the real thing will be like! Everyone is just glad that we are all healthy and not in the hospital this year! That is a blessing!

Happy Birthday Katie and Thanksgiving Everyone!

So it has been a busy couple of weeks! To begin, Katie had her birthday party at Wald Park and it was no much fun! Miss Delphine had just had surgery so Mama, George and I went and picked Owen up at his house and he came with us to the party. I sat with Lily and him during cake time!

We ran all over the park and had a blast! I felt so independent being in the make of bridges all by myself, well I say all by myself but Owen and I stuck together most of the time. I love my friends!

George especially loved the ice cream and apple juice! We were surprised because he typically does not much care for sweets. Today was another story though! Katie's Mama is expecting too but she has 2 babies in her tummy, like me! Hers are both girls though while I have a boy and a girl!
As for me, I liked the cake best! Anything with chocolate is my favorite! I am a girl you know! I wore my birthday outfit for the occasion! I can be so silly sometimes!

The next weekend was Thanksgiving so we went to Tuscaloosa for our annual get together! That morning, I helped Nana make blueberry muffins for dessert! They were delicious and a little sweet because I put my finger in them! I love to bake!

Papa had a little George time watching a little morning cartoons. George is starting to talk a little more which is making things easier on everyone! He is really into Daddy right now but will give others a snuggle every now and again when Daddy is not available! Oh George!

Nana and Papa gave me some really real scrubs for me to wear since I want to be a doctor one day and as I have said before, am obsessed with illness. It came from the Cabbage Patch House in Georgia! It has real shoe covers and a mask too! Don't I just make the cutest doctor ever!Later that day, David got in town and we played a little music together! It was beautiful if I do say myself! I guess I get my musical ability from him! We played a few of my favorites like I've been workin on the railroad, Jesus loves me and a little Mcdonald by request!

Then it was time to eat dinner and it was delicious! For dessert, Nana bought an Alabama cake in honor of Mo Mo and her friend, Mack, being in town! Who would have thought that Grey icing would be so delicious! Mama loves my giggle and face when I do it!

After dinner, Uncle David and I took more requests and we had a sing along in the den. A little cheesy, I know but it was fun! I love hearing him play and hope that I can play that well someday!

Then Mo Mo took a little spin on my guitar! I was a good sharer! All the others even took out my other musical instruments and joined in! Grandpa got some of it on video for future blackmail! You can see it on facebook if you want a good laugh! Then it was time for nap so I gave Papa some snuggles! I know how to stall really well these days and tugging on the heart strings is the best way that I have found! I have Papa wrapped and he has me wrapped right back!

Then we said our goodbyes to everyone and had Mo Mo and Mack pose by Bear Bryant and Peace, Love, Bama as a joke since they are die hard Florida fans! It was a great time! No fires, no burns, we did not even forget the spiced peaches that "we have every year!" It is always fun when all of my favorite people are together!

Happy 3rd Birthday to me!

Well another year has passed and I am so glad that it was such a great one! I am such a big girl now and keep growing, learning and amazing my parents everyday! They say that they are so lucky that I am their little girl and that they love my sweet heart. It is hard to believe that...
This was me a year ago when I had just turned two and that...
This was me two years ago when I had just turned one and that...
This was me three years ago when I was just boren! That's how I saw born these days! My parents say that it seems like only yesterday! I can speak in full sentences with great grammar. I know most of my letters in upper case and my numbers by sight. I love to learn about animals and the environment. I am very into medical things and love to help people with their boo boos. My best friends are Lexi, Lily, Lucy, Owen and Charlie. I am a leader and a follower, it just depends on the day. I love to dance and make up songs... most of the songs start with "If I don't." I am very compassionate and all in all a sweet loving little girl and I make my family proud of me every day.
So to back up a little bit, This is George with 3 of his favorite things in the world, cars pajamas, lubby (not to be confused with wee wee, the chipmunk) and sucking his thumb. He loves to watch TV after bath but loves to be outside before bath! It is the best of both worlds!

George and I still take baths together. Excuse his little moon in the side! He will be so embarrassed one day that I posted this picture! It is fun to splash each other and pour water on each other during bath time! He is so fun to play with most of the time.

He still cries a lot and we aren't sure why. We are hoping that it will get better when he starts talking a little better. He just has that red headed temper but for as hard as he is, his heart is as big and he loves to snuggle.

So in our family, Birthdays last for a week because there are so many people that want to celebrate it with me! Tante and Sha Sha came over to sing happy birthday and have some strawberry cake. George tried to get to it first but you can see Mama go for the quick block! Way to go Mama! There is another person in the picture but you can see him yet! Where you ask, in Tante's tummy! Omega is going to have a friend...Baby Goodrow...probably will be called Fred!

Tante came all the way in town from New Orleans to celebrate! She loves me so much! I think that she gets a little jealous that I get to see Sha Sha so much but she gets to be my Godmother so that makes her extra special! That Strawberry cake was so good!! I like blowing out the candles!

For my birthday, Mama and Daddy gave me a real guitar! How did you get Soul Asylum to come play you might be asking...no silly that is just me with bed head! The birds sleep in my hair at night. I think that they are blue birds. Uncle David gave me a really pretty rainbow strap!

I also adore to play dress up so Mama and Daddy gave me a little red riding hood costume. I am afraid of the big bad wolf but she ends up okay in the story so I guess I will too!! Nana and Papa gave me my new princess bedding for my new big girl bed! It is so soft and I love it so much! I could not wait to get it home to my bed but until then we made a palate on the floor! It was a great place to wrestle!

George loved it too! He does not care that there are princesses on it yet. One day he will but for now, he likes playing with my toys. Ask you can see, he always has lubby with him! He is such a goofball!

That weekend, he had his first meat stick. He is definitely his mother's child! She grew up on Chocolate Soldiers and Meat sticks at the Honky Tonk at Yellow Creek! He ate almost the whole thing! I tried it but as you know, I am almost a vegetarian so I would prefer carrots sticks!

On my actual birthday, we had cupcakes and Mimi and Grandpa came over to celebrate! I am a pro at blowing out candles these days! I love to practice on house candles. I love it when everyone sings Happy Birthday to me! It is great being the center of attention...I get that from my Tante!

George had his turn blowing out the candle too and did a great job although, he blows them out through his teeth. Like Papa says, There is more than one way to skin a cat (I asked Papa why he would want to skin a cat when he said that and he just laughed, I don't get it!)

Later, I showed Mimi and Grandpa my new bed with my new sheets! I love them because they have Belle on it and she is my favorite princess because she has brown hair just like me! Daddy pretended to play the guitar and we did not know the difference! We were a bunch of monkeys! Hope we don't have to call the doctor! Mimi and Grandpa gave me my Ballet and Tap lessons for the year and a Ballet doll that looks just like me! I love to dance so I come home and show Mama and Daddy all that I learn. I know my positions, how to twirl and Up, Back, Step on a Bug! Going to sleep in my new bed on my Birthday was the icing on the cake! I fell asleep reading my new book from Sha Sha that she got in honor of my being a ladybug princess for Halloween!

A few days later, we woke up and started helping Mama and Daddy get the house ready for my Birthday party! It was at Hidden Park and I had no idea how much fun it would be! George helped by watching...Mama learned that from Papa and we learned it from her!

After all of that cleaning, I took a little rest in my Dora Snuggie and on George's SpongeBob Pillow. I had to rest up for such an exciting day!

At the Party, Mama bought 30 rubber bouncy balls to throw in the field and everyone ran around playing with them including the adults! It was so fun because everywhere you looked, there was a ball to play with! We have a ball!

There were all kinds of snack, drinks, pizza, and cheese sticks you could eat! Mimi was a great help when we needed her! George was not too far behind me where ever I was!

Mama reminisced about the days that we would come to the park and I would not even be able to climb the stairs alone and now I am in the big girl swing all by myself! They are so proud of the young lady that I have become!

Then the big treat! The Ice Cream Truck came just for me! We got to get what ever we wanted! He played his music and everything. It was the best surprise ever!

Then we all posed for a picture with our ice cream. Camille, Rob, Sarah Reeves, Georgia Jayne, Lucy, Me Liza Barton, Lily and Katie loved every minute of it! There are others but they are just not pictured!

Then we ate some pizza! The token red-heads ate next to each other. George loves the fact that he is friends with my friends although, he will always be baby George to them.

I wanted a strawberry birthday this year so this is the cake that Mama found! It was a marble cake with butter cream icing! Strawberry shortcake was the theme!

I think that everyone had a great time, even Omega! Funny but George was in Mama's tummy for my first birthday and now Omega is in her tummy now. I think that they need to slow down a bit! Hmmm, will it be Henry or Helen?

We knew that it was time to go when George found the only muddy part in the park and played in it! At least his pants were brown but he was filthy! At least it was just mud! We thought that it might have been something else at first!

Afterward, we went back to our house and opened presents! I got so many cool things from my friends! Rob and Matthew helped me open all of my presents which made it so much fun! I tried on my new helmet and knee pads and did a little air guitar! I can rock the air guitar and was not even a twinkle in the 80s! Now I will be able when I ride my bike around the track at hidden park.

Matthew fell in love with my kitchen and we are convinced that he will be the next Master Chef! Doesn't her look adorable in my hat and apron! Anyway, this year's birthday festivities were incrediable and I appreciate everyone that made it happen! You are the best and I can't wait to see what the next year will bring!
