We Will Miss You Uncle Frank

Well, if you can't tell...George is teething something awful! He loves to chew on the hippo bath toy's inner tube! He has four big teeth up top and three down below. His molars and starting to swell though so we are waiting for them to pop through! Thank goodness for teething tablets!
Sarah and Melissa came up for their biannual visit and it was so much fun, as usual. While eating Chex Mix, Sarah found this really cool pretzel that I wore as a ring. I spent about an hour handing individual pieces of Chex Mix to everyone. It was an extra fun night because we got to have a birthday party for Mimi!
Every time Sarah would take a picture with her camera, George would make this funny face! Mimi and Melissa just thought it was hysterical! I think that he did it because of the red light that flashed but it was fun to say that he was just loving the camera!
Melissa and Sarah loved loving on George and me the entire weekend! We like that they like to come visit us and are glad that we are getting close to them even though they live so far away!
Sunday, we went to church and as usual got dressed so cute. We though it would be a good time to share some goldfish when we got home! George has really become attached to his lovey's lately. He looks for the tag and then immediately puts his thumb in his mouth. I guess lovey loving is something that he got from me!
He has turned out to be a pretty little boy. His hair is a pretty shade of red and we are just calling his eyes Hazel because they change from blue to green to grey depending on what he is wearing. I make it much easier because my hair his brown and my eyes are brown. By the way...he is wearing my shoes! Mama thought that the earlier we could get George out of his white outfit, the better so she put him some PJs and we went out on the back porch so I could play and George could walk. He chose the one handed method. Hey whatever works!
I took the time to do a little cleaning! Yes, I realize that I am probably the only person in the world that cleans in a pink dress, white tights and a white bow but I think I should look cute no matter what I am doing!
After nap, we decided to meet Mimi, Grandpa, Melissa and Sarah at the park. It was a beautiful day so George and I wore our sunglasses. I am still trying to getting the proper way down.
Sarah and I did the spider and I thought it was so much fun! it was a little hard to hold on but I got the hang of it! George was in the swing next to us loving every minute of it!
George and Mimi practiced his climbing skills for a little bit and he loved it because he thought he was breaking the rules! Mimi was right there though making sure he was safe!
After the park, we went to eat cheap Mexican food! For some reason, everyone wanted me to have my own bowl. I don't understand why! They tell me not to double-dip so I just quadruple-dip! It was such a fun visit and I am so glad that we got to hang out with our extended family again!
I took this picture of Mama, Daddy and George. They were very impressed at my photographic capabilities at such a young age! By the way, he loves My Little Pony Show Stable! On the following Friday, Daddy has surgery on his ankle. Dr Cory at St Vincent's did a wonderful job and we were very appreciative! We hope that it is going to make him feel better! I was really upset when I saw Daddy's cast. I do not like it when anyone is hurt. I take it very seriously! It took me a while to get used to it.
Because Daddy had surgery on his ankle, I got to spend the weekend with Mimi and Grandpa. Nana came in town to help with George so that Mama could focus on Daddy. First, I shared a cupcake with Maggie under my play house. It was yummy! I ate it so that Daddy would feel better. Right now, everything is "too make it feel better!"
As usual, I played with Mable. She has a few outfits now and even some shoes. I told her my good news...I poo-poo'd on the potty at school this week! Way to go me! I got two skittles for that!
Again, I love to read to Mable and she enjoys it as well. I have started to lick my finger before I turn the page. It is really cute. Another thing that I like to do is listen to my heart with the stethoscope. Who knows...Cardiology could be in my future!
Since I love the monkey that Santa Cause brought me for Christmas so much, Mimi and Grandpa brought me a great big dog that I can lay on that stays at their house. It is so snugly and I love it!
For dinner, I had a fried chicken leg it it was so much fun to eat! I always eat so good at my Grandparent's house. Now, I need to pick up the pace at my house. George usually eats more than I do.
On another note...I have some sad news. Sunday night, Uncle Frank passed away. I am not really sure what that means but I know that everyone is really sad and I am not going to be able to play with him anymore. He was always so sweet to me, in fact, he was the first person that was not in my actual family to feed me a bottle. He would always come over to see George and me when we would come in town and he even came a couple of times to Birmingham to see us! He was the first person that I ever visited in a hospital when he was up here for a while. I like to think that I brightened his day a little. It is a really sad time and we really are going to miss him. We love you Uncle Frank and hope that you will now be our guardian angel to watch over us all!

George's BIG Milestone

Well the big day is finally here! George took his first steps! It was funny because he did it at school and Daddy made sure that Mama wanted to know since she did not see it for herself. What a big milestone and much earlier than me! Way to go George! He can also say uh-oh and book now!
He has really started developing a really cute personality, although, he is really showing his red-headed colors lately. He has a bit of a temper and sometimes it is almost as if you pinched him or something because he bursts out in a scream for reasons unknown to us! He loves Daddy so much and does not ever want him to put him down! This is Mable, my new friend that stays with me at Mimi and Grandpa's. Mimi adopted her from one of her friends at work and I am the one that benefited from it! I talk and sing to her and just love to play pretend with her. At school, I have started having conversations with my friends when I am having my goldfish. Just this week, Lexi and I discussed what was on out shirts.
I also practice reading books to her. I act like the teachers at my school and show her the pictures. Mama and Daddy really love to hear me reading books aloud and think that it is really cute! I love to dress and undress her. In fact, it has become quite the joke around the house because every doll that I play with, the clothes are the first thing to go! Everyone says, at least it is the dolls and not me! I have also started regularly TTing on the potty at school so I get skittles!
On Friday the 12th SCHOOL CLOSED for the day because it snowed!! To make sure that we had everything that we needed, the whole family went to one of my favorite places, Walmart! On the way there, we had fun looking at all of the beautiful white goodness everywhere!
This was the first time that George was able to really experience the snow. He crawled around in it for a little bit. I made a snowman in the front yard as tall as me and a little one on the back porch. I thought that it was a too cold to spend too much time outside though.
As you can see, after about 2 minutes, George was not a huge fan of the cold either. It took Mama about 5 minutes to get him calmed down. As I said earlier...he has a bit of a temper!
Gretchen loved the snow! She played really hard in it and rolled around! She even ate it...that dog will eat anything! Her little belly got cold though because she has such short chops you know!
Then it was time for Valentine's Day! Our school party was cancelled because of the snow storm but we still got to exchange our Valentine's with each other at school. Mimi and Grandpa came over on Valentine's Day to give us our gifts. I LOVE opening presents. I got clothes, a purse, candy and stuffed animals!
George got a Snoopy Dog that plays the only song that calms him down, clothes, a book and candy. He also enjoyed a little playtime with Grandpa! We made Valentine's for everyone too! I used my hands and George used his feet! Everyone loved them because we made them ourselves!
The next weekend, we headed to Tuscaloosa and Daddy shared a little of his Diet Dr. Pepper with me on the way there. As you can tell, I thought that it was the best thing since sliced bread! Since Christmas, car rides have been much better thanks to Mimi and Grandpa. They gave us portable DVD players!
Nana and Papa had some Valentine's toys waiting on us when we arrived and it made us that much more excited! George showed off his new skills a little but really crawled most of the time. Do you think that he was really going to walk when we wanted him to...of course not!
Papa decided to shave off his Goatee and I thought that he should shave off his mustache as well. I told him over and over that he needs to "shave it ouff!" I also regulated which glasses he wore at all times! I do not know what he would do without me!
We went to the park and had more fun! I love the field of dreams because I get to climb the stairs and go down the swirly slide like a big girl!
They also have a really tall slide that I am really good at sliding down! I can climb those stairs all by myself. I am a huge staler though so Mama and Daddy have to watch me to make sure that I do not run up too big of a line behind me.
George liked the swings but started to get a little fussy so Nana pushed him around in the stroller. That kept him happy for a good thirty minutes! He got to eat some snacks while strolling and even shared a little with me!
Someone brought their scooter out there and I decided to take it for a spin. Everyone was very impressed with my coordination and how well I was able to balance. It is hard to believe that I just turned two!
That night, we went home, ate some dinner, put on our pajamas and then played with silly glasses. I get so tickled when I wear silly glasses! I tried to put the on my babies but they would not stay on!
Nana's had another pair of sparkly silly glasses that I thought were the greatest! She wore them in her Mardi Gras skit the night before...she was a basketball alien.

Mama's Vaca...Our Time To Play!!

Happy Birthday Miss Lee!! Since it was Miss Lee's Birthday, Mama got to go to Destin for a long weekend with the girls! They had so much fun just relaxing and having a good time together! I am glad that Mama got to take a break from reality but I just can't understand why she needs it! It must be a grown up thing.
We stayed at home with Daddy on Thursday and Friday Night but he was reffing basketball on Saturday and Sunday so we got to stay with Mimi and Grandpa! I had fun pushing George around in the Red Car and he loved it too...well, until I started popping Wheelies! In about 14 years, he is going to think twice about riding with me if he still remembers my current driving skills!
Saturday Night was time to make Valentine cookie surprises for all of our teachers. I like to turn on the oven light to watch the progress of the cookies! I really wanted to decorate them that night but they needed to cool before I could make them pretty!
Maudie, Mimi's Mama, used to love to make Art Breakfasts for everyone on special occasions so Mimi wanted to carry on the tradition. She made me my very own Mickey Mouse Breakfast, complete with Eggs, doughnuts and raisins! She is so creative!
After getting dressed, we decorated the cookies for our teachers! I think that they are going to love them! I also got to eat a couple...just to make sure that they were okay to eat!
George enjoyed watching Grandpa jump on the re-bounder but liked jumping on it himself so much more! Don't worry, we would not let him bounce alone! No broken bones on our watch! Maggie tried to get as far away from the situation as possible! It was a super fun weekend as usual and we can't wait to go back! The next weekend, we went to Tuscaloosa to stay with Nana and Papa for the weekend. It was so much fun and partly because it started off with me getting to eat a "lobbypop!" I also got to show off my new Valentine's Day outfit that Mimi got me!
That afternoon, George and I played with all of their toys while everyone watched! I do love a captive audience. I thought that it would be fun to wear one of George's jackets! It was a little small but I thought that it was perfect. I enjoyed taking my "tempertureper" and after it would beep, I would look at the reading and say "thirty pounds!" I am so smart! George started talking this week and his first word was "Ball" well actually "Bao" but we knew what he meant.
He has also started saying Bye, Bye and waving and can also say Dada! Nana also practiced with him this weekend and now he can say Nana! He makes the cutest little bird mouth when he talks and we just think it adorable!
Okay, so Mama is obsessed with George's chunks and can't keep the camera off of them! He gets a little embarrassed sometimes but I keep telling him that he might as well get used to it! Really though, how cute ate these legs! It is hard to believe that he started off so scrawny!
The next day, we went to University Mall to blow off some energy. It was just Mama, Daddy and me! George stayed home with Nana and Papa. I got to throw money in the fountain and make a wish! I loved watching all of the water spraying everywhere! It was such a fun weekend! George and I are so spoiled because we always have something fun to do! We ended up staying an extra night so that we could watch the Saints win their first Super Bowl! Go Saints! What a wonderful year of football!
