Weekend of Firsts!!!

Well, this was a very eventful weekend where I did so many things for the first time! To begin, I ate my first Oreo cookie and loved every bite. Of course, I still do not have any teeth so I slobbered on it until it was soggy an then I was able to eat it. I hope that mom gives me another one soon but she said that I could only have it while on vacation. I wish that everyday was vacation!Next, I sat on the beach for the first time. I did not much care for the sand so I sat in the baby pool that Nana and Pops found for me on the beach. I played in it for about an hour and then it was time for a change of scenery. Mom took me to the gulf while everyone watched (I had an audience watching everything I did this weekend...I have everyone wrapped!) and let me feel the water on my feet but the waves were pretty rough and it scared me a little. There were lots of Jelly Fish so mom and dad would not let me get too far in.
My favorite part of the weekend was when I was in the pool! I laughed and smiled and loved every minute! Mimi bought me something that I could sit in and I thought that I was hot stuff!! I would kick my legs and make splashes with my arms. I would only splash with one arm at a time though. I wish that mom had remembered my sun glasses because my eyes are super sensitive to the sun.
At the end of the day, it was time for my first big girl bath! I felt so grown up and did not want to get out. When I saw the drain, I was not interested in anything else. Nana and Mimi said that I would hold a cup under the water and then bring the cup up to my mouth like I was trying to drink it. I hope that mom and dad will start giving me a big girl bath at home. Of course, I may not give them a choice since I love to splash so much now. So much for mom and dad's backs.
On the way home from the beach, we stopped at Uncle James's KFC in Thomasville where I took lots of pictures for him and Melissa. I think that I should be the new poster child for KFC because I look so cute with the cups!
We then stopped in Tuscaloosa to pick up my sister, Gretchen, and mom decided that I needed to go to the doctor because it looked like I had pink eye. The doctor prescribed me some eye drops that I do not like very much and it makes me cry. Because I am sick, I get to stay in Tuscaloosa at Nana and Pops house for the next couple of days. I know that they will give me lots of love.
This was the best weekend! I had Nana, Pops, Mimi, Grandpa, Dad and Mom all watching everything I did and it made me feel so special. I loved being the center of attention! The people at daycare will definitely be able to tell that I have been spoiled this weekend but that is what happens when you have such wonderful parents and grandparents.

Back to my regular schedule

A lot has happened to me since my last post. Tuesday night, I felt warm to Mom so she took my temp and it was really high. The next day, she took me back to Dr. Stacey and they ran a bunch of tests on me. I was feeling so bad that I did not even want to play with the fun paper! Everything was normal so they called it a fever virus. I ran a fever until Friday. I did not feel good at all but I kept a smile on my face most of the time anyway. Because I was sick, Mom stayed home with me and gave me lots of TLC. Then Thursday night Mom got sick and Mimi had to come take care of me on Friday morning until Daddy got home from Louisville. Daddy brought my a really cute Kissy Kissy outfit back from Louisville that I wore today to school. Thank you Daddy!
Saturday, Mom and Dad were a part of the Jenny's Light tournament where they helped raise over $50,000.00! I am so very proud of them. The banner is below. That day, I got to spend the entire day with my Aunt Weldon! We had so much fun together! We played with my toys and Weldon's keys, looked outside, pretended to eat ice cream (she may have given me a little-don't tell Mom and Dad) and she gave me lots of love! I hope that Aunt Weldon wants to take care of me again because I had a great time with her!
Saturday night, I spent the night with Mimi and Grandpa at their house where I always have such a fun time. They have lots of fun toys and a little white dog they call Maggie. I get to play Karaoke and even Basketball (like my Daddy, well, almost) when I go over there. Sunday, I went to church and got to wear my new Dress from one of Mom's friend's Mom, Dee Browder. I am wearing it in the picture above. She made it especially for me in my favorite colors pink and green. I just look like a dream in it according to my parents. I am lucky to have such special people with such wonderful talents do so many wonderful things for me. Thank you Mrs. Browder!
Today, I am back at school with all of my friends. I really missed them, Miss Angela and Miss Ora, my teachers. I think that they will be proud of all of the progress that I have made this weekend with my scooting. I also pulled up for the first time on Aunt Weldon's leg. I was so excited! I am glad to be well and back on my regular schedule!!!!

I love the paper at Dr Stacey's

I thought that I would show a couple of pictures from my Doctor's visit last week. I was diagnosed with my first ear infection 3 weeks ago and was going back to get a clean bill of health before I visited Aunt Lee! I LOVE playing with the paper there! I think that I am so funny and Dr. Stacey always says that I pass the paper test with flying colors. I do not know why people buy me toys when I seem to have more fun with a bunch of paper and plastic bottles!

I Love my Daddy!

Finally...it's happened to me!

Yea! I have been a fan of Lily's blog all along but now I am going to get to have my own! This will be a great way to show all that is going on in my busy life. My name is Anne Harman Hornbuckle and I am 7 months and 9 days old. So much has happened during my short life but you will just get to hear what happens from this point forward. Right now, I am starting to scoot! I also roll several times in a row and I am so proud when I am closer to Mom and Dad than when I started. Mt favorite foods are ANYTHING stage 2. My parents are so lucky that I did not take after them because the only thing that I have been unsure about is macaroni and cheese. I go to school and absolutely love going. I love to play with my friends and ride in the wagon.
Last weekend, I went to the beach for the first time to visit my "Aunt Lee." We went to Crab Island and that was my first time in the water. I splashed and splashed and splashed! I did not like the taste of the salt water. Mom and Dad were laughing about the faces that I was making. I loved riding in Mark and Lee's boat.
Yesterday, Mom and I went to Publix and for the first time, I was able to use my Floppy seat and sit in the cart like a big girl. I just laughed and laughed. It was so much fun and Mom liked how people kept stopping her and telling her how pretty I am. She and Daddy secretly love going to the grocery for that very reason.
