Weekend with our family!

This weekend was the first weekend that we were able to spend the entire weekend in Birmingham, without anything to do, in 2 months. It was very relaxing and I will tell you all about it! Friday, was Mama/Anne Harman day all day long! We had so much fun and it was a day that I will always remember (or at least will enjoy reading about later!) We started off the day visiting the people that she works with. Miss Holly, Miss Becky, Miss Jill, Miss Anne, Miss Joan, and Miss Jessica just think that I am so cute! They played with me and I felt like such a big girl being Mama's helper! I even typed an I love you message on the computer all by myself! See, this is what I typed..."G cxx cvc v cvchv v cv chh fgt erre4 e54v c453evc 34c f3fdtd4 vkk bvbnjcfyugjk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk" Miss Jill had cookies and she shared one with Mama and me. I know I love chocolate chip cookie now! Then I went to New Beacon Hospice to visit Mimi. She was out of the office so I called her on the phone and told her that I had surprised her with a visit. She promptly turned around and came straight back. When she arrived at her office, she found me sitting at her desk writing with a pen (actually, I was chewing on it but we can pretend.) She had toys for me to play with...so prepared! Everyone there was so nice to me. They kept coming by to see me and it made me feel very special. I think that they might hire me to be the assistant director of bereavement since I make everyone smile! The next morning when Mama and Dada came in to wake me this is what they saw! Just my two big bright brown eyes popping over the side of the crib. Thank goodness they lowered the crib! I am a big climber! I am growing up so fast! That afternoon, I took all of the toys out of my toy basket and what did I find?!?!? Another toy! I love playing with the big blue basket! I was so proud of myself for being creative. I thought I was so funny! Again, I do not know why my parents buy me toys when I like playing with everyday things!

Next weekend, Mama is going to Tantie Erin's Bachelorette party and so this weekend was full of preparation. I wanted to help so I chewed on the ribbon while she wrapped the weekend favors. I am such a good helper!

I used shampoo for the first time and Mama thought it would be funny to put my hair in a Mohawk! I love bath time!

This weekend, I also learned that I can pick out my own toys from the basket instead of my parents handing them to me. I especially enjoy choosing books from them to read to me!

Then it was bedtime and since it was Saturday night, I decided that I wanted to stay up for a while with Mama and Dada. Dada let me look outside the window at the rain and Mama let me touch the rain. I was a little confused to see the water falling from the sky. They let me stay up until 8:00 and then I went to bed with no problems. I just wanted a little extra time with them!Sunday, we got up and went to church. I looked so pretty in the Kelly Kids dress that Nana and Pops bought for me! Mama and Dada think that it may be time for me to go to the nursery during Church now. I was good compared to to her children but was still a little distracting because I was making happy baby noises. Everyone around me thought it was cute though! I think that I will like the church nursery so that I can play with all of the other children! I like to make new friends.

After church, we went to The Village Tavern at the Summit! Dada likes to support his company! There, I ate real squash for the first time! I loved every bite but Mama did find some in my lap that I was trying to save for later. I really like going to restaurants so that I can sit at the big girl table and eat with Mama and Dada.
My sister, Gretchen was feeling left out since I have a blog so Mama added her to mine. This is her snuggling on the couch! She loves to snuggle! She is a great sister!

Surprise!

This weekend was such a busy weekend! Friday, Pops came in town and Mama and Dada put him to work! They were getting ready for uncle Robert's surprise party! They cleaned the house, worked outside in the yard, and went grocery shopping. I went to school for the day so that they could get everything together. Mama and Pops picked me up early though. He really liked seeing were I learn everyday and I was happy to show off for him. He also got to see me friend, Lily. He thought that she was so cute!
Saturday, Aunt Betsy, Uncle Robert and Rob came over and we ate at Zoes! I got to sit in the big girl chair again. Then Nana got in town from the beach. She brought lots of surprises for Rob and me. She loves to spoil us rotten!
When we got home everyone was anxiously anticipating the Surprise Party. Uncle Robert even called one of his friends to come over and eat dinner (he did not know that he was coming over already.) Then about 5:30, people started showing up. Deb, B.T., Emily, Greg, William, Charlie, Griffin, Pam, Little G, Katherine, Chason, Kim, Sara Chase, Hinton, Tara, Mark and Joe. Uncle Robert was SHOCKED! We had a great time! I got to play with the big kids and I loved watching them play! I was glad that so many people got to meet me!
Before the party, Miss Heather and Georgia Jayne came over. We took lots of photos and had lots of fun! I could not keep from petting her and grabbing her cheeks. I am glad that we are best friends! Mama and Miss Heather think that it is cute that we are friends since birth. They think that we will be Maid of Honor in each other's weddings! We will certainly have a lot of great pictures! Sunday, Mama cooked breakfast for everyone who did not have to get back to LaGrange early. Everyone else stayed until after lunch! I was glad that I got to spend more time with everyone. I miss not seeing them a lot! Then Mama and Dada played with me for the rest of the day! Mama tried to get me to say Mama but every time that she would say Mama, I would say Dada! Dada loved every minute of it!

Barricade...Shucks!

I can''t believe it's been 10 years!

I have heard that so many time this weekend! It was mama's high scool reunion so it was a busy weekend! Last week, we found out whether my new cousin will be a boy or a girl but I can't say here because some people still do not know! I am very excited to know though!
I do not know why my parents spend money on toys when I just LOVE bottles and keys!
Thursday, Nana and Pops came in town to help Mama and Dada with everything that they needed to do on Friday. Dada took off of work and so I had lots of people to love me! The carpets were cleaned, the house was sprayed for bugs, the new couches were delivered, the sod was delivered, and the tree was cut down. At the end of the day, Aunt Weldon came over and picked up mama and we all went to Tuscaloosa. Nana said that I cried a lot on the way down there. I sometimes do that in the car.
Then Tantie Erin came over! We had lots of fun and I showed off for her all of my talents. I am very mobile now so she got to see me scooting everywhere. I like it when I get to see her because she makes me feel very special! I am her godchild, you know! It was also the Aniversary of when Mama and Dada met! I am glad they met! :-)
On Sunday morning as I was scooting around, I some how got myself in the prdicament below! How in the world. Dada took my picture because I am such a silly girl! This was such a fun weekend!

Lions and tigers and...Giraffs?

This was a super fun week! Last Week I stayed with Nana and Pops until Wednesday night! Then they brought me back to Birmingham. They took such good care of me while I was sick and gave me lots of TLC. I think that is why I feel better. When I got home, I was so happy to see Mom and Dada! Mom said that I was really full of myself...whatever that means! I was pulling up on the outside of my exersaucer and I thought that it was just the funniest thing in the world. When I returned to school on Thursday, my teachers and friends were so happy to see me. I love going to school!

Friday, Independence Day, I went to spend the day and night with Mimi and Grandpa. To show my independence, I pulled up on the side of the crib by myself for the first time. When I told Mom and Dada about what I had done for ID4, they explained that ID4 is when we are supposed to celebrate freedom. I guess that I am very lucky to live where I live. When Mimi called dad to tell him, Mom and Miss Amanda quickly lowered my bed one level. When we went to Jim N' Nicks to pick up some ribs, we ran into a woman who's name was close to mine. Her name was Anna Harman...imagine that!
While I was playing at Mimi and Grandpa's, Mom, Dada and Miss Amanda cleaned the house and worked in the yard. It looks like a new house! Miss Amanda came in for a visit and was put to work. Thank you Miss Amanda! Mom got a little sad when she cleaned out my room because she put up a lot of my baby toys and and clothes that I have grown out of. She says that I am growing up too fast! I say that I can't wait to learn more everyday.

Sunday, I went to eat at Brio with Mom and Dada. This was the first time that I sat in a high chair at a resturant and I loved it. I ate saltine crackers, gerber stars and even some sourdough bread! When we arrived, they asked if I needed a childrens menu...he he! I think that they thought I was older that I am! I still do not have any teeth...I can't eat from a childrens menu!
After lunch, we went to The Birmingham Zoo! I saw the snakes, lions, tigers, kangaroos, monkeys, birds, alligators, giraffs, and lizards. There were no bears...hints the name! I think that I may be a little young for the zoo but Mom really liked it. I was more interested in sitting up like a big girl in my big girl stroller!
This has been the first week where I have not missed any school in a long time! It has been an adjustment not being surrounded by my parents and grandparents but the people at school said that I have been great this week. See Mom and Dad, nothing to worry about!

Today, Mom took me to school and I wore a dress that Ms Thagard brought back from Madagascar just for me. I feel so special wearing something that traveled halfway across the world! I look so pretty in sunflower yellow. I am becoming a girl of the world!
Last night, my sister was barking really loud so Dad went to check on her. When he stepped outside there was a copperhead snake on the back deck! It was really scary but at least nobody got hurt! I am very proud to have such a brave sister that protects us so well! Thank you Gretchen!
