George's BIG Milestone

Well the big day is finally here! George took his first steps! It was funny because he did it at school and Daddy made sure that Mama wanted to know since she did not see it for herself. What a big milestone and much earlier than me! Way to go George! He can also say uh-oh and book now!
He has really started developing a really cute personality, although, he is really showing his red-headed colors lately. He has a bit of a temper and sometimes it is almost as if you pinched him or something because he bursts out in a scream for reasons unknown to us! He loves Daddy so much and does not ever want him to put him down! This is Mable, my new friend that stays with me at Mimi and Grandpa's. Mimi adopted her from one of her friends at work and I am the one that benefited from it! I talk and sing to her and just love to play pretend with her. At school, I have started having conversations with my friends when I am having my goldfish. Just this week, Lexi and I discussed what was on out shirts.
I also practice reading books to her. I act like the teachers at my school and show her the pictures. Mama and Daddy really love to hear me reading books aloud and think that it is really cute! I love to dress and undress her. In fact, it has become quite the joke around the house because every doll that I play with, the clothes are the first thing to go! Everyone says, at least it is the dolls and not me! I have also started regularly TTing on the potty at school so I get skittles!
On Friday the 12th SCHOOL CLOSED for the day because it snowed!! To make sure that we had everything that we needed, the whole family went to one of my favorite places, Walmart! On the way there, we had fun looking at all of the beautiful white goodness everywhere!
This was the first time that George was able to really experience the snow. He crawled around in it for a little bit. I made a snowman in the front yard as tall as me and a little one on the back porch. I thought that it was a too cold to spend too much time outside though.
As you can see, after about 2 minutes, George was not a huge fan of the cold either. It took Mama about 5 minutes to get him calmed down. As I said earlier...he has a bit of a temper!
Gretchen loved the snow! She played really hard in it and rolled around! She even ate it...that dog will eat anything! Her little belly got cold though because she has such short chops you know!
Then it was time for Valentine's Day! Our school party was cancelled because of the snow storm but we still got to exchange our Valentine's with each other at school. Mimi and Grandpa came over on Valentine's Day to give us our gifts. I LOVE opening presents. I got clothes, a purse, candy and stuffed animals!
George got a Snoopy Dog that plays the only song that calms him down, clothes, a book and candy. He also enjoyed a little playtime with Grandpa! We made Valentine's for everyone too! I used my hands and George used his feet! Everyone loved them because we made them ourselves!
The next weekend, we headed to Tuscaloosa and Daddy shared a little of his Diet Dr. Pepper with me on the way there. As you can tell, I thought that it was the best thing since sliced bread! Since Christmas, car rides have been much better thanks to Mimi and Grandpa. They gave us portable DVD players!
Nana and Papa had some Valentine's toys waiting on us when we arrived and it made us that much more excited! George showed off his new skills a little but really crawled most of the time. Do you think that he was really going to walk when we wanted him to...of course not!
Papa decided to shave off his Goatee and I thought that he should shave off his mustache as well. I told him over and over that he needs to "shave it ouff!" I also regulated which glasses he wore at all times! I do not know what he would do without me!
We went to the park and had more fun! I love the field of dreams because I get to climb the stairs and go down the swirly slide like a big girl!
They also have a really tall slide that I am really good at sliding down! I can climb those stairs all by myself. I am a huge staler though so Mama and Daddy have to watch me to make sure that I do not run up too big of a line behind me.
George liked the swings but started to get a little fussy so Nana pushed him around in the stroller. That kept him happy for a good thirty minutes! He got to eat some snacks while strolling and even shared a little with me!
Someone brought their scooter out there and I decided to take it for a spin. Everyone was very impressed with my coordination and how well I was able to balance. It is hard to believe that I just turned two!
That night, we went home, ate some dinner, put on our pajamas and then played with silly glasses. I get so tickled when I wear silly glasses! I tried to put the on my babies but they would not stay on!
Nana's had another pair of sparkly silly glasses that I thought were the greatest! She wore them in her Mardi Gras skit the night before...she was a basketball alien.
