G's 1st Haircut, Black Eye and Other Stuff!

So after much talking and thinking, Mama finally decided that it was time for George to get his first haircut! What a major milestone! So as you can see, he was going for the sophomore in college look. You know, after they finish pledge ship and before they need to start really thinking about their future.
Everything started out fine, but by the end, he was screaming! The man that cut it was really nice and patient though and even gave him a lollipop afterwards! He really just did some shaping but it looks really good!
As you can tell, it looks much better! Now it is out of his face so that you can see how cute he is! Papa likes the military look on George. Daddy thinks that he could have gone even shorter. I think that all in all, George did incredibly well for his first time.
That week, George had to go to the doctor because he had double ear infections. We decided that it was time for him to go to the ENT to discuss tubes. You see, I got tubes when I was 13 months and have not really been ill since. We are hoping that it does the same for G. That weekend, we went to Tuscaloosa and had water fun land in the back yard.
Mimi and Grandpa came in town to cook out and I got to show them all of our new water fun toys. We have a pool, slide and Dora mat that shoots up water! After pool time, I showed Grandpa and thing or two about dressing Mable. Mable was glad to visit Tuscaloosa and I was glad to have her there!
Then Mama got some snuggles from little Georgie! When I was a baby, I have a similar photo of me and Daddy on Lee and Mark's boat. It is one of Mama's favorite pictures of all times! It was fun having all of my favorite people in town! Everyone was a little nervous due to the fact that we were starting our new class the next week! We are really going to miss Ruthia, Vette, Martha, Net, Hope and Denise! They are the best!
The next weekend, Daddy took Mama, George and me to Ijump. Mama had never been before so I showed her the ropes. She was very impressed with my abilities! There were all of these fun slides and obstacle courses!
George had fun just running around like a wild man! He was all over the place. Mama and Daddy definitely got their exercise chasing us around. It was the perfect place to go when it is so hot outside!
There is a baby room that we played in for a while. They had this great big thing of balls that we could roll around in. I had fun tackling George in them. That afternoon, we went to the Homewood pool for a dip and then ate Mexican food. For the record, I still LOVE quesadillas!
The next day, we went to the zoo and for the first time, saw the Sea Lion training. It was really neat to watch them do tricks but it would take more than smelly fish to get me to do those things! George followed me to the window for a closer look.
Then I got to feed my favorite animal! That's right, the giraffe! First I fed it a pellet from my fingers! I was not scared at all even when it's black tough starting coming towards me! Then I got to feed it some grass. I felt like such a big girl! Once again, I was not scared at all! We thought that it would be a good idea for George to help by "watching" (one of Papa's favorites!)
I know that you will think that it is crazy but we did not know that the petting zoo at the zoo existed so it was a whole new world over there! I got to pet a billy goat. Since I was a child, I have known his language so I made him comfortable by saying "Maa!"
Once again, we were afraid that George might grab the Goat so we just let him play in the mist fan. He was perfectly happy because he LOVES water. We thought that his hair looked funny after being in all of the mist!
Then I got to ride the carousel for the first time. Can you tell that I am having so much fun! Daddy loved seeing my enthusiasm. I chose what I call the baby jaguar, you know, like from Dora! I did not want it to end but did not even pitch a fit when it was time to get off.
So after a fun morning, we went home for nap and then decided to go look for big girl beds. We were at Ashley furniture and I was really excited and started hugging George from behind. Then I got a little rough and he hit his eye on a bed frame. It started bleeding and swelling so we had to make another trip to the ED at Children's. While there, I got to play with gloves and pretend that I was a doctor. George showed off his animal sounds. He can say what a duck, cat, lion, dog and monkey says!
The doctors said that he will heal up nicely and that we did not need stitches since the cut was in the crease. Mimi and Grandpa came and got me from the hospital and talked to me about being more careful. I whispered to George the next day that I was sorry but don't tell anyone!
