Facing Forward...Never Facing Back!

That's right! I turned the BIG 1 this weekend and so we turned my car seat forward! It is a whole new world and I think that it is the greatest! Now I really get to see what is going on with everyone and feel like such a big girl! This was such a great weekend and I can't wait to tell you all about it!
Nana and Pops came in town on Friday night to spend the night. Saturday morning, Mama, Dada, Nana and Pops all came in to wake me up! They sang Happy Birthday to me and I loved it! I could not get in their arms fast enough! Little did I know that it was going to be one of the most fun days of my life...well, so far!
After Breakfast, Pops got all dressed up in his Harley gear to go ride in the Children's Hospital Charity Ride here in Birmingham. He rode with his chapter...The Heart of Dixie Hogs. They raised over $23,000.00 and gave all of the children that were in the hospital a present. Pops gave a little boy a Harley Teddy Bear and he smiled so big. His parents said they were so grateful because he had not smiled in quite some time. Pops also gave him a Harley bandanna for his head. This is me on the motorcycle with him but don't worry, you will not see me actually riding this thing! I was kind of scared of the loud noise.
Rob, on the other hand, loves "Papa's Vroom Vroom!" That is what he calls it! Here is Pops with Uncle Robert and Rob. They drove over for my birthday party and spent the night. Aunt Betsy and Matthew could not make it since her was just a few weeks old but we really missed them!
While I took my nap, Nana tacked and Mimi hemmed my special birthday dress so that it would be all ready for me when I woke for the party. Thank you Nana and Mimi!
When I awoke, my house was crawling with so many people! Here I am with Nana and Mimi. I felt very special that so many people came over just for me...well there was the Alabama/LSU game too but that was just a coincidence. We won by the way!
Neal, Ron and Dada have known each other since high school and are still great friends. They came over for the day and we had so much fun!
Here is Pops, Mimi and Brian. Brian and Dada have been friends since 1st grade and we see him a lot! I am starting to warm up to him now. I have this thing about boys but my Dada does not mind. In fact, he says that I could stay that way as far as he was concerned!
Here is Tante and me! She flew in from New Orleans Saturday morning just for me! Uncle Freddy stayed at home with my God Sister, Lula! I really was glad that she made the trip because I really miss her. She is my Godmother and loves me a whole lot! She has been friends with Mama since she was born, like Georgia Jayne and me but longer! She is getting married in four weeks!
Here we are again with Miss Weldon. Mama has known Miss Weldon forever too! She gets to see me a lot since she lives right down the road! Uncle Robert and Rob decided to jump in the picture at the last minute. They are so silly!
Here's another photo-op but with Mama this time. Mama is usually behind the camera so she was glad to get in some pictures on my birthday!
Here you can see a clearer picture of my cute Birthday Dress. Mimi and Grandpa bought it for me. Mama and Dada said that I look just precious in it. Here I am doing one of my favorite things...walking while holding someones hands. I could do it all day!
This is one of the few photos that Mama and Dada were able to get with me and my Birthday hat! I was not a fan of wearing it but at least you can get the picture. This is my friend, Camille. Her Mama and Dada are Mr Warren and Miss Brandi. Mr Warren is my God Father! I was really happy to see him because I miss him too! Camille was such a good helper and very sweet to GJ, Rob and me! Thank you Camille!
Finally, the most important thing on a birthday besides the birthday girl...the cake! I had a Hello Kitty cake. It was quite tasty and believe it or not, was almost eaten in it's entirety.
This is my smash cake before I got a hold of it! Boy was it yummy! Here I am with Mr Warren! His family drove up from Dothan just for me on Saturday morning. He was the one that brought me into the kitchen to my cake and for everyone to sing to me. I think he has this birthday thing down pat!
As you can see, the paparazzi was in full force as usual. There were cameras everywhere! I loved being the center of attention. When everyone starting singing to me, my jaw dropped! I loved it! Mama helped me blow out my candles. I was having trouble distinguishing between blowing out candles and blowing my nose so to be safe, she just did it for me! We were finally able to use the candle holders that Miss Melissa gave me when I was born!
I started off slow with cake. The icing was really thick and I was not so sure about how to tackle such a huge piece of cake. Up until this point in my life, Mama had only let me taste some of Dada's cake!
Then is was time to dig in! Dada helped me a little so that I could get down to the cake part. The cake ended up giving me a tummy ache but it was so worth it!
I had icing all over my face and decided that Mama needed to match me so I put some on her face too. I thought that it was really funny!
I even got Camille with some of the icing but not on purpose. Rob and Camille were very patient while they waited for me to finish my cake so that they could have theirs!
Rings came on the top of my cake and Rob really liked them. Here he is showing them off to Mama! He got two of them and Camille got two. Mama did not want me to have one because she was afraid that it would end up where the dime did. For those of you who don't know, I swallowed a dime on Thursday and passed it on Friday. First thing on my Birthday, I had to go to the doctor for an x-ray to make sure that I passed everything. Needless to say, Mama and Dada cannot be too careful now!
As you can see, I really enjoyed my cake and so did my face and hands! Mama and Dada were so proud!
And so were Nana and Pops...
And Mimi and Grandpa! Do you like my tennis shoes that Dada got me?
Here is Nana with Camille, Rob and Georgia Jayne while Mama and Miss Heather took me upstairs to clean me up. She was kind of a jungle Gym but she loved it!
Here I am all cleaned up! Well, there is still a little on my dress but we tried! Thank you Miss Heather and Mama!
Hey wait Pops! If you are going to love Rob, you are gonna have to include me! Mama thinks it is funny when I get jealous!
Pops always enjoys taking pictures with Rob and me! Here we are before opening presents! I do not know what he is going to do when he has Matthew and George here too!
I received so many wonderful presents from everyone: lawn mower that blows bubbles, books, a car, stroller, puzzles, Mrs Potato Head, Clothes, Raggedy Anne, money, Baby Einstein, learning puppy, jungle animals, piggy bank and lots more! Miss Heather and GJ helped us open everything and you can see them here.
Here Tante is helping me play with the Five Little Moneys Puppet! Mimi is behind just waiting for the perfect photo!
I liked pulling the paper out of the bags! Tante and Miss Weldon were right there watching me!
Camille and Rob were really sweet to help me open all of my gifts! Here is the dragon Fly Sweater that Tante gave me! You can see Nana and Miss Heather in the background! By the way, Friday night, Miss Heather and GJ came over and after Miss Heather gave me a hug, she put me down and I stood by myself for like 10 seconds! Everyone was speechless!
I decided to include a picture of the Florida Bear that all my Florida relatives sent to me. I do not know if my Dada will let me play with it though. Especially on December 6th!
It was really nice to share the opening of the presents with my friends but I still got to open a few on my own and as you can see, I really enjoyed it!
The fish book is one of new favorites! I like to point to the fish when Mama and Dada count them. Do you see how I point...I use my pointer and pinky!
Here is the personalized book that Tante gave me. It made Mama cry! We did not realize that you could order things like that. It has me and all of my friends in it! Mimi and Grandpa gave me another one that has my name all in it spelled with different things! The next morning, everyone ate breakfast and then it was snuggle time with uncle Robert. I think that he liked having us both up there with him! I did not get to see Tante because she had an early fight but I blew her kisses while she was in the air.
Mr Warren, Miss Brandi and Camille came over for breakfast as well and so it gave me a little more time with them! I was so glad that they came in town!

Here I am with my new obsession! It is the car that Uncle Robert, Aunt Betsy, Rob and Matthew gave me! I sit in it all of the time! I also read books in it and play with my toys in it. I also use it to stack my puzzel peices in and hide my toys that I do not want Gretchen to get!

This was such a wonderful birthday and one that I will always be able to read about (when I can read!) I want to thank all of my friends and family for everything and for making it so special! I feel so very lucky to have so many people love me so much!
