Days of adjustment

Monday, I returned to my normal schedule while George tried to figure out his. It was papa's birthday and he said that we are the best birthday presents that he has ever received! George went to meet Dr Stacey for the first time but she was out of town so he saw another Dr instead. he had lost 7 ozs since birth so they want him to come back for a weight check.
Daddy's friends, Andy and Harris were in town for their movie showing at Workplay so they came by for a visit. They thought that George was so cute and could tell that Daddy was very proud! Daddy stepped out for a bit so that he could see them but quickly returned because he missed everyone. He is such a great Daddy!
George had his first bath at home and did not much care for it. I think that he will get used to it evetually though. Mama forgot how different it is to give a newborn a bath. She also had to be extra careful because he likes to sprinkle you if you are not quick on your feet!
That afternoon, I shared my couch with Daddy for a little while. I thought that it was just hysterical to see him sitting on my couch!
The next day, I decided to sport my blue jean overalls at school. I love wearing my crocks as well. When I get dressed in the morning, I walk to the end of the stairs and stop for a pose so that everyone can see how cute I look!
Mimi came by for a visit on Thursday to check on George. The day before, the ENT fixed his tongue tie. The good news was that George was already up to his birth weight and did not need to go back in for a weight check! Mama was so proud! Mimi liked getting some George lovin! He is a really good snuggler! We have to keep gloves on his little hands because he tries to scratch his beautiful face. He will grow out of that though. I like to help put them on him because I want him to stay safe.
Nana spent the first week at home with us! She was such a huge help! She washed dishes, clothes, cleaned and took over so that Mama could catch some naps. We were so thankful to have her here to help us because it made things so much easier!
George likes to sleep with his arms up by his face just like I did. Nana says that Mama's Nana used to say that it was the sign of a healthy baby. That makes me glad that George is a healthy baby!
Papa wanted to love on George for a bit but I made sure that I was included. All in all, I have been really good except for all of the fits that I have been pitching. At least I am sweet to George and Dr Stacey says that I will grow out of it.
I also needed to make sure that all of George's toys were functioning properly, so I tested them all out. I let him borrow my Moses basket that Deed and Pop Pop gave me but took it for a spin before handing it over! I like playing in my boat!
My favorite thing to do with Papa is Ride a little horsey and I am so good at it! I think it is just hysterical. I like to look around to make sure that everyone is looking and then anticipate the don't fall down part! So exciting!!
Daddy fed George his first bottle and he did really well with it. He pushed it out of his mouth at first because it was something different but quickly got the hang of it. This will allow Mama to have a little break.
Daddy likes to spoil me with clothes so he bought me my first pair of shorts! I modeled it with my new Polo from Nana. You can contact my agent if you need me for any further shoots.
Like I have said, I am a huge help around the house when it comes to my brother. I bring Mama and Daddy the things that they need to take care of my brother. Frankly, I do not know what they would do without me...good thing I am here to help!
Papa came back on his Harley for a visit. He just can't stay away because he loves us so much! I got to sit on it but as I have said before, I am not allowed to really ride it! I like to look at it but do not like the loud noises that it makes!
Lots of folks brought us dinner so that Mama would not have to cook. Mimi and Grandpa made dinner for us after Nana was gone and decorated mini cupcackes with George's name on it! It took a lot of cupcakes! I helped them by eating several!
They stayed and ate with us so I could catch them up on what all had been going on the past couple of days. My favorite thing that they brought was the orange jello salad! Yum! I wanted "Mo Mo Mo"
Mr Ron and Mr Neal brought us dinner another night! We were so appreciative of all that everyone did for us! Mama will get to her thank you notes as soon as she can!
I also let George borrow my bouncer and that is where he sleeps during the day. I like to pat him on the head and give him his passy. I laugh when I put my finger in the passy because I can feel him sucking! I call him Goge, Bo and Bubba.
When George gets mad, he turns red all over and has the worst faces! Daddy calls him the incredible hulk except for the fact that he turns red and not green.
He looks like a little angel when he is asleep and we all just can't get enough of him! We are truly blessed in so many ways!
It was my turn to help feed my brother and I did a wonderful job! I got all dressed up in all of my bows for the occasion! I really try to be helpful by patting him when he cries and giving him his passy!
Warren, Brooke, Mack and Camille all came in town for the weekend to see us. They were a huge help and I had a lot of fun with them. Warren is another special person to me but I shared him with George...for a little while until it was time for him to read me some books and play with my toys.
Nana and Papa came back in town because they missed us so much! Gretchen got a part of the action. I have been going to the park with Daddy but George is too young to go yet. Give him a couple of weeks and he will be right there with us!
George keeps growing big and strong and it is all because I am here, no doubt!
